What is an ANC?

An Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) is a non-partisan, neighborhood body made up of locally elected representatives.

Each ANC's primary role is to be their neighborhood's official voice in advising the District government (and Federal agencies) on things that affect their neighborhoods, including zoning, streets, recreation, education, social services, sanitation, planning, safety, budget, and health services.

Where is ANC 6E?

ANC 6E is located in the northwest corner of Ward 6 and includes the Mount Vernon Triangle, Northwest One, NoMa, and Judiciary Square areas. ANC 6E is divided into nine single member districts (SMDs), each of which elects a commissioner.
